Non Wedding Party 2007

International Tournament of Mölkky 2007

Katariinan saarella 2006

Dear friends,

Feel welcome to come to Ratzeburg, Germany, on 2-8.7.2007 to play Mölkky with us. The International Tournament of Mölkky is an event where fair play is far more important than winning - and we guarantee that winning is important.

Mölkky is Finlands secret candidate to the Olympic Games. Our official set is carefully crafted of German oak. Mölkky is a simple game, yet it is necessary to both play with great eagerness and lots of luck to win.

On 7.7.2007 we can all celebrate. There will be multiple reasons, one for each of us. We call it Non Wedding Party. Last year main topics were dancing and singing, but we also had some threatre and stand up comic. The evening was simply wonderful.

The tournament and the festival place at Ratzeburg is child-friendly and comfortable. The place is located in Northern Germany near the border of Denmark. Hamburg, Lubeck and Rostock are close by. Getting there won't be a problem.

During the week you can visit neighboring cities for sightseeing or shopping or simply relax. At the party you and your family can teach or perform something to others or just enjoy the evening.

With festival and tournament feelings, looking forward to seeing you there,

Kirsten and Jukka

Place

We are staying in three houses on the outskirts of the small town of Ratzeburg, surrounded by woods and just next to the Ratzeburg Lake. There is a big lawn for sunbathing and games, we can use canoes and boats. We'll do our own food, so there is a kitchen and common rooms inside. There is also piano, so you don't need to bring it with you. Across the lake we have a view to the old city and cathedral.

Getting there

Many companies fly to Hamburg, among them Blue1 (www.blue1.fi) and Finnair (www.finnair.fi). If you take a train from Berlin, also Air Berlin (www.airberlin.com) is a good alternative.

Ratzeburg is near Rostock and Lubeck, which means that there is the possibility to use boats and ferries. Tell us from where you are coming and we'll help you to find more information.

Train timetables of Germany can be found from page www.bahn.de. Trains from Hamburg take about one hour and from Berlin two hours. We'll add some more info about busses and other transportation means later.

If you come with your own car you can connect this week with other activities and trips. You are middle of europe and roads are pretty much going to all directions, not only to Rome.
